Welcome to Adellaide!
I am Anne-Marie: founder, maker and proud Mom of Adella, our precious cancer fighter! We transitioned a pandemic sewing hobby into a creative way of giving back to organizations who have positively impacted Adella's Cancer Journey, such as CHEO, SickKids, Ronald McDonald Charities, CandleLighters, Canadian Blood Services & more. In French : ''Adella-aide'' Means ''Adella helps'', which is the inspiration behind this project: Adella gives back to all the great causes who helped her during her battle with cancer!
WHAT WE DO:
We collect clothing donations and upcycle pre-loved clothing to give them a second chance at life, just like our daughter had!
BREAKDOWN OF WAYS WE SUPPORT:
♥ ''Scruncheos'' 2$ from every scrunchie sale will be donated to CHEO. Scruncheos is how we first got started and raised $2,200 for CHEO in 2020!
♥♥ ''Hopeful Headbands'': $2 from every headband sale will be donated to SickKids Hospital Toronto.
♥♥♥ ''Bravery Beanies'': $2 from every Beanie sale will be donated to CandleLighters, a support program for families going through childhood cancer.
♥♥♥♥ ''Cheerful Totes'' $2 from every Tote Bag Sale will be donated to the Ronald McDonald Charities, to help keep families together during sickness.
PRODUCT NAMES:
Our product names were inspired by character names and references from our favourite Sitcom: Schitt's Creek. This show, among other things, helped keep us in good spirits during our hospital days.
